Ironoak Medical Clinic is a family practice clinic serving Oakville and surrounding areas. We are a member of the Trafalgar Sheddon and Associates Family Health Organization, a city-wide group with 26 physicians providing cross-coverage for our patients after hours including on Saturdays.
Physicians
Dr. Irene Francis
Dr. Francis graduated from Brighton & Sussex Medical School, UK, in 2016. Following completion of clinical residency, she trained in Internal Medicine for two years at University College London. She then completed her family medicine training in North London before emigrating to Canada. Her experience extends to all aspects of primary care, with a special interest in care of the elderly.
Dr. Kelsey Downie
Dr. Downie has been practicing comprehensive family medicine in the Oakville and Mississauga area since 2019. She received both an MASc in Biomedical Engineering and an MD from the University of Toronto, and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Gyula Voros
Dr. Voros has been practicing family medicine in Oakville since 2009, after completing medical school at the University of Toronto and residency at McMaster University (including training in Family Medicine Obstetrics). Although no longer managing labour & deliveries, he continues to have an interest in women's health and accepts referrals for minor office gynecologic procedures such as IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, medical termination of early pregnancy or management of early pregnancy loss.
Dr. Talha Maqbool
Dr. Maqbool completed medical school and postgraduate family medicine training at the University of Toronto. Dr. Maqbool also works as an acute care hospitalist and surgical assist in Oakville and surrounding communities. He has a special interest in performing minor procedures.
Dr. Kate Healy
Dr Kate Healy is a family physician with over 20 years clinical experience. Her love of medicine and caring for patients has extended to teaching the next generation of healthcare professionals. As University Lecturer Dr Healy has taught and examined medical students, physicians, nurses, social workers and paramedics. Dr Healy is dedicated to lifelong study and a commitment to excellence.
Dr Healy understands the demands, pressures and juggle of a busy life while trying to put time aside for your own personal wellness and happiness. She is passionate about giving her patients the opportunity to look and feel amazing and knows just how much that can contribute to overall happiness, confidence and wellness. In addition to her role as family physician at Ironoak Dr Healy is the Medical Director and Co-Founder of Merrion Medical Aesthetics, an aesthetic clinic co-located at Ironoak. As the mother of three children, she may be found at the side of a rink, pool or music lesson as her children keep her busy with their growing hobbies. In time off she loves an early morning swim or run, dinner with family and friends, and in truth curling up with a medical textbook!
Dr. Saide Nakazi, Endocrinology
Dr. Nakazi is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Nakazi completed his Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada specializing in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences. After graduating with Honors, he pursued his medical education at Saba University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York, where he received the “Excellence Award” for two consecutive years. He was also awarded a “Certificate of Merit” from the American College of Physicians for participation at local poster competitions. Dr. Nakazi completed his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at Lehigh Valley Health Network/University of South Florida in Allentown, Pennsylvania. His main interests are diabetes and thyroid related illnesses as well as weight management. Outside the office Dr. Nakazi enjoys spending time traveling, songwriting, swimming and kayaking.
Dr. Tina Tran, General Pediatrics
Dr. Tran is a board-certified general pediatrician who completed her medical studies at the Howard University College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her pediatric residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - New Jersey Medical School. With over 10 years of experience as a primary care and consultant pediatrician, she is providing consulting services for pediatric patients of all ages. Dr. Tran is happy to accept referrals for general pediatric concerns, including but not limited to developmental or educational concerns, ADHD, growth concerns, short stature, pubertal concerns, asthma, and eczema. She is also available for scheduled sick visits without a referral for acute but not life-threatening issues. Examples include fever, sore throat, cough, ear pain, vomiting, diarrhea, urinary tract infections, injuries, rashes, and other walk-in type issues. When her hands are not full with her two children, she enjoys swimming and biking. She speaks English and Vietnamese.
